OUR MISSION
What started as a street ministry has grown to a global mission.
In 2014, Founder Tucker Rodkey dropped out of college and began preaching the Gospel on the streets, using art to communicate God's Word in new, dynamic ways. This fearless outreach became known as Painting Freedom, an innovative approach to preaching God's Word and leading people to Christ. Since those days on the streets, Painting Freedom has traveled all over the world to hundreds of events and thousands have surrendered their lives to Jesus.

In 2019 The Artist's Commission launched a local outreach program for at-risk youth in Chester, Pennsylvania called Legacy Arts Chester. This free, after school art program provides a place of refuge, community, and creativity for kids who are looking for a place to belong. Additionally, Legacy Arts Chester is transforming their community through The Painted City Initiative, a program to beautify a blighted community through public art.
In 2023, Painting Freedom had the opportunity to travel to Tanzania, Africa. After witnessing the intense need for the Gospel and the opportunity for transformation in the Gorafan region of Tanzania, The Artist's Commission launched The Poema Project. The Poema Project, is a boarding school development project for students who are most in need in Tanzania. Our school provides students with education, healthcare, nutrition, housing and most importantly, the Gospel! Our US based traveling art experience, The Poema Experience, tells the stories of these beautiful children and raises funds to build and operate the school.

"Art that is surrendered to God can change the world."
